I don’t like the government forbidding people from doing something when they’re not working. They’ve been talking about forbidding teachers and healthcare workers from smoking period, as in not even in their free time. And I admit I’m torn about that. I WISH they’d ban snus (tobacco pouches) and nicotine pouches but I doubt it.

The audit was probably political (the government of the day didn’t care for this organisation). The tax authorities got wind of it decided to audit the organisation to find out if the per diem amount represented a genuine amount. For a monthly we had to submit all our reciepts for things covered by the per diem.
