And yes, there are certainly employers with total salary transparency, where everyone knows what everyone else makes, or government agencies where salary is public record — but I’m assuming that’s not the case here. People keep interrupting my work to ask for directions. I am a prospect researcher for a large university.

I work in a large office that was converted from a warehouse — we have many areas of cubicles. Her role is a mix of solitary work that she does at her computer and user-facing, but she needs to be available to our users if someone needs something. I almost knock people down every time I’m walking around the office.

One time, outside of my cubicle, near the coffee pot, a group was chatting. But there we were, with my bread machine plugged in in its own cubicle. One time, the bread machine caused a shortage along the entire row of outlets and caused everyone’s computers to die. I am late 30s and work for the government. The attack.

I work in a cubicle with two other people in cubes near me. My company provides computers, keyboards, mouses, etc., Weirdly, the exception to this is if you work for the government, since they’ve decided to exempt themselves from that law.). My coworker’s mechanical keyboard is driving me crazy.
