Four years later, after a series of abusive relationships, I managed to become clean and sober for my two children. Years of prescription medications and drug and alcohol usage will do that to a person, especially when they become clean and sober, then they really have nobody. I thought that they would understand. My captors lurked.

Once those are under control, they can get still, slow down, and have an inner conversation to uncover the true anxiety at the heart of it all. But society then became fully entrenched in the idea that mental health is a genetic or a chemical imbalance, which worked too well for pharmaceutical marketing. Our world doesn’t make it easy.

Together we wrote an informational brochure about neuroleptics free from the commercial interests of the pharmaceutical industry. It has to do with the community psychiatric systemthe control is bigger. How did you manage to do it?
